This post is all about personal growth. We have all been in a position where we say “I’ll work out next week” or “I will start school next year”, the sad truth is we usually don’t. Pushing yourself is something you can’t talk about, you just have to do it. This is the best way I see it, and I will quote myself on this “it is better to start now and see results later, than to never start and never see results”-Andrew Anderson. That may sound silly and self-explanatory but when you really take a second to ponder on it, you will realize the power associated with the quote. Nothing happens overnight. If you work out, it usually takes a few months to see noticeable results. If you attend a a trade school or a university, it may be years before results are achieved. That’s just how the world works though. Rome wasn’t built in a day. The truth is without invested time nothing will be achieved, so it’s either work, wait, and achieve, or wait and not achieve. This is all common sense, and we all are aware of the facts I am listing; the problem is as humans we loose sight when the end goal is not right in front of our face. I struggled with school due to the amount of time I had to spend on homework, it bothered me tremendously. I just knew I had to do it in order to achieve my goal, my degree was my sole motivator. When you approach new avenues in life don’t give yourself an option. Don’t give yourself the option to not loose 20 pounds, don’t give yourself the option to not get that degree. Whatever it is you are chasing, use that as your fuel. Anything is possible and the world is yours. Knowledge is power. You have to do things you don’t like in order to do the things you love. Push yourself.
